| Limos, high heels, girls in
skirts, and the abortion clinic

What in the world you ask am I talking about? Well, I'll tell
you and it isn't pleasant at all.
A couple of weeks ago my friend Nedd Karieva came and we made
the trip into Granite City which is a little like going into the
twilight zone if you've never been there before. I have many
times, but Nedd hadn't. It was an eye opener for him to say the
least.
As we made our way through the outskirts of town and
proceeded into the belly of the beast,
Nedd saw the decay of a once booming town & the remains of
steel factories that once burgeoned with life & profits, but now
just run at minimum capacity. The town is economically depressed
obviously just by looking at it aesthetically speaking, but
there is more to the story of this town that has brought the
decay we see today.
Enter in The Hope Clinic for Women in Granite City Illinois.
This $2 million state of the art medical facility built in 1999,
looks out of place from the outside with it's clean exterior,
but on the inside is a dirt so dark that even the most filthy
steel mill in town looks clean in comparison to them.
Hope Clinic by name alone is grossly misleading. By the name
one conjures up a meaning associated with a place that helps
people medically, this is the farthest thing from the truth.
Talk about false advertising one would never know just by
looking that Hope Clinic is not a place of Hope at all, it is a
place of death. Hope Clinic is an Abortion Clinic. Where's the
Hope in that?
As we approached the clinic a few protestors stood and tried
as best as they could to discourage those going in from getting
an abortion. The sad thing is in the 3 years I have gone there
the attitude of the women and men has become so nonchalant as if
they are going in for a dental appointment. In the past you
could talk or minister to the people and they would take your
literature and at least ponder on what you have to say. Now for
the most part they walk right up to the guard station, sign in
and then go in the clinic and that's it. No dialoging like in
the past. It is a rare chance now to save a baby about to be
aborted. That is because clinic staff informs women that
"protestors" will be in front, so they are instructed to just
keep walking. So, where does this leave us Pro-Lifer's? It
leaves us banging our head against the wall, as the sheeps to
the slaughter keep stumbling in.
Well, I was stunned. The emotional turmoil usually seen on
the faces of these clients is now but almost gone. It is as if
you are watching zombies trotting off going into the abortuary
with no remorse, guilt or shame. This is where the Limo & High
Heels come in.
Just when you think you've heard & seen it all at an abortion
clinic, you haven't! A ministry that protests there 6 days a
week reported on their site a woman was taken by limo to the
clinic and then escorted back to the airport in St. Louis via
the Limo so she could get on a plane and no one would know what
she did and she could go back to her town & friends like
business as usual! Check out smallvictoriesusa.com for the
article. Then the day Nedd and I go there I saw a young woman
dressed to the nines with high heels, skirt & glittery purse go
into the clinic! I started asking, "Does she think she's going
to a disco?" It was absolutely appalling! Dressed up like it's
cocktail hour to get an abortion, or birth control pills. Does
anybody even possess a modicum of decency anymore? I guess
decency doesn't even exist anymore after witnessing that!
What has our beautiful country come too? Can we save this
nation before it implodes in on itself from all the problems it
faces? Do girls that go to abortion clinics in Limos, High Heels
&
Short Skirts even care? Unfortunately, I think they don't.
They are buying into the stale rhetoric of the Planned
Parenthood mantra, "If it feels good, do it." And doing it they
are.
But, I ask you — what are you doing? Do you care anymore? If
you have become so desensitized to the abortion issue then I am
offering to you this challenge -
Pick one day, (Saturdays are best) and go to the abortion
clinic of your choice. Just stand there 1 or 2 hours as a silent
witness for yourself, your country and God. Ask yourself if what
you see disturbs you and if it does, then do something about it.
Get involved with a local Pro-Life organization, support your
Pro-Life Representatives, make phone calls, emails, faxes etc.
Tell people your concerns & get involved.
The alternative if you don't is further complacency, apathy
and watching more girls riding in limos, wearing high heels and
short skirts marching into abortion clinics killing the next
generation of our America. Tea anyone?
