Subject: THE DAY THE SUN WENT BLACK IN SAN DIEGO - A
JAMES HARTLINE REPORT
DECEMBER 6th - THE DAY THE SUN WENT BLACK IN SAN DIEGO - BY
JAMES HARTLINE
It was painful to watch. It was grievous to my heart. And
clearly it was a black and gloomy day in San Diego.
The event: the inauguration of lesbian Toni Atkins to a
second term on the San Diego City Council.
Today's ceremony saw the swearing in of the three reelected
councilmen to second terms. Each councilman was allowed to
choose a judge of their choice to swear them in and invite
family members on the stage to join them in the swearing in
ceremony.
Toni Atkins, who led the charge while on the San Diego City
Council in her first term, to kick the Boy Scouts out of Balboa
Park because they will not allow homosexuals access to young
boys in their organization, is one of the most radical leftist
lesbians in the history of California politics.
Prior to Atkin's election to the San Diego City Council, she
was the manager of three, count them, three abortion clinics.
Thousands of little babies were murdered under her watch. That
is the blackened spirit that Atkins carried into the government
when she began working for her predecessor, lesbian city council
woman Christine Kehoe. Atkins replaced Kehoe when Kehoe move
onto the State Assembly.
On the podium today, Atkins chose homosexual superior court
judge Ted Weathers to swear her in for a second term. Weathers
was the first openly homosexual superior court judge in the
history of San Diego. He had been appointed by Democratic
Governor Gray Davis when he was in office.
Atkins, unlike the other councilmen, did not have actual
family members join her on stage for her swearing in. Instead
she chose three activists of the gay agenda. One of those was
lesbian Jennifer LeSar, a board member of the Gay and Lesbian
Center, which has been the recepient of over $200,000 in free
city grants via Atkins alone.
Atkins commented in her remarks during her swearing in, "I
want to thank my partner Jennifer LeSar," referencing those that
joined Atkins on stage.
Atkins went on to state, "This is a wonderul memory for the
lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community."
A final black remark was given by Atkins as she smiled and
welcomed new pro-gay marriage City Attorney Michael Aguirre to
the ceremony.
There was one bright spot. One hilarious moment. When Jim
Madaffer came to the stage to be sworn in for his second term.
He brought up his two precious teenage sons. Madaffer and his
two sons are all eagle scouts. When Madaffer's choice for judge
swore him in, with his sons proudly standing there with their
dad, the judge commented, "this is a proud day for these fine
eagle scouts."
They were all standing right in front of Atkins as these
comments were made. The smile had rapidly departed from Atkin's
face.

I am looking forward to the battles ahead in the next four
years. It will not be easy. Standing up for righteousness in
an unrighteous culture is not for the weak, but it is for those
that are true Christians.
We have no other choice, as men and women of God, but to
press on, with full determination, into the very center of the
battle for our city. We do not claim the characteristic flaw of
cowardice or fear. We claim fearlessness and courage, because
we depend upon our guidance from God Almighty.
God will never disappoint us. As long as our confidence is
in Him then our outcome is assured.
There is a day coming when we will not have to cope with the
awareness that we will be led by radical homosexual activists.
One day, if we do not tire, or retreat into that place of
surrender, we will see a city government run by young men and
women who know no other path, but that which leads to Jesus
Christ.
Yes, today was a dark day in San Diego. But tomorrow, as we
recommit our goals to righteousness evolving from a Biblical
Mandate, we will see a new day dawn. One that we as Christians
can proclaim as glorious in the Name of our God.
